I've had a Banks Wastegate for a while now, but I just put in a boost gauge(after reading threads about sploding turbos). Coastal Diesel put in the wastegate @ 5 turns per the book.

With the pedal on the floor I get different boost readings in different gears. When I punch it, I get about 12 psi in first, 18 psi in second, about 22-24 psi in third and 28-29 psi in 4th.

It seems right to me, that this would happen...I just want to double check my logic.

Anyone know if this is normal?

Sorry but I don't watch mine that close. When I see the warning light flashing at me I make a quick stay in it or get out of it decision then check it when I have the opportunity.
29 is a good # to keep it at. Ambient air temp and accessory use A/C will also effect the amount of boost generated. So you could see more under just the right conditions.

Sounds normal, boost also has a lot to do with the tuning you are running, some tunes i hit 28, with the big one, i will get up to 36.....
