I just picked up an original shop manual with diesel supplement for my 94. Wondering if I should also pick up the electrical and emissions manual. Would like to get the same wiring diagram that I have on my 89 short-bed, includes every electrical circuit with troubleshooting guide, color-coded wire diagrams, connector locations, etc. Can anyone with the electrical & emissions manual check and see if that is included in that book? Would hate to throw down $35 at helminc.com and not have it be what I'm looking for.

Is there another manual I should be looking for that has this information?

Thanks!

Personally if you didn't buy the "kit" they list I would buy the electrical / emissions book too.

My rationale here is that I can tell that my electrical has been "repaired" by people who may or may not have known what they were doing...before I bought it. I've only owned it a week now but I anticipate that I'll have to do some repairs to the electrical system in the future.

Does your book include full schematics, colored wiring and connector locations, as well as troubleshooting? If so, sounds perfect! My truck is the same: alarm added, then disabled, aftermarket CD player installed, wires floating around with no identification. Good times.

Only owned the truck a week, the electrical book is on my list of things to get, but I've had a look under the dash and it's a mess. I tend to not like wiring that's unorganized.

I found a green wire and black wire coming out from the front bumper near the right parking light that are taped together and go nowhere, who knows what they're for. I expect that this will be typical for this vehicle.

I'll probably order one in the next day or so.
