As I was driving in to work today a truck passed me. It had a large

externally mounted, fan-cooled, thermostatically controlled cooler

for the transmission.



It was a Mitsubishi mid-sized truck. There is a short note at

It appears the cooler for this truck would be about perfect for

under-body mount on a D/A pickup. Has anybody done it?

I am very familiar with that truck and the cooler. It works great. I have seen failures on that system because of broken soft lines ( prefab rubber cooler hoses) I would never use soft lines because they crack under heat, they crack if they are bent after time. If you ran hard lines to a setup like that it would be great, but, a lot of work.
