I am going to replace my transimisson oil for the first time. just wondering what is the best oil to replace with and how difficult is it to completly drain the whole system?

I am running mobil 1. You can get alot of different oppinions on this but IMO if your not getting it hot lots I would vote for regular dino dextron(non synthetic) and regular drains of the pan and refills(not doing it via the method above each time, just draining the pan.) If you run it hard and it gets hot then synthetic would be a good idea for the heat protection.

The synthetic runs a lot cooler than regular dex 3.

I have towed to 8000' in heat waves and never exceeded the temperatures dex 3 got to.

good luck

I had transynd and a deep pan installed by Allison. Glad I did cause I tow heavy. Trans temp never goes over 200 and most of the time it is around 150.
