Just wondering what level all the 6-Gun users are at for everyday driving. On level 4, it's a fine line between casual acceleration and surging, which is addictive. I've found that when you do cross that line, the tires will spin in 1st or 2nd on wet roads. I've backed down to level 3. It's a good all around level with the same charactaristics as level 4, just not as severe.
I have been running on level 4 and have not had any issues with tire spin. Occaissionally I put it up on level 6 to drive around. That is fun. I ate up a Hemi on Sunday.

You should have looked for another one... that way you wouldn't be 'half' fullhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/hihi.gif

Before my reflash I was running level 4 whenever the roads were dry - had to use 2 or 3 in the wet, otherwise quite a bit of wheelspin when first accelerating. Now it's back from a reflash and feels quite a bit stronger in 3 and 4. I know Banks says only 5 and 6 were changed, so my only guess as to why the lower settings are stronger is that perhaps I never sequenced the speed loader correctly the first time. Right now I am running 3 and the truck is plenty fast for me.
Haven't tried 5 or 6 yet, getting up the courage I guess with the stock trans, also concerned about how addictive the add'l power will be. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley4.gif
You're right, L3 is a bit smoother than L4.
After driving around for two weeks without the tuner, it sure is nice to have it back again.

I know Banks says that only L5 and L6 were changed, but there is a difference all the way up. L3 runs about the same as the old version on L6-no lie-about a 15.3 with the speedloader installed. The biggest jump is from L4 to L5. Then again, L6 is quite a bit stronger than L5. I don't know if you really have to worry about the tranny-it defuels quite a bit on the top two levels. I don't think I have seen any tranny slippage yet, as it has never backed down the power. I'm glad they set it at only 3%.

I am new here and this is my first post and a newby with diesel. Can someone explain the term I see here "defueling' " and its application to the motor. Thanks.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley5.gif

Level 3 all the time, hit 5 a couple times for fun, and 6 once or twice. Looking forward to towing with it.
I have V1 I think.

pk911 the banks box defuels for a couple of reasons if it detects tranny slip or if egts get to high, defuels basicly means cuts back on power by adding less fuel

I tried my first 0-60 blast with L5 last night, wow, what a difference from the original programming. Trans sure is busy trying to keep up with the shifts, 1-2-3 happens pretty quick.
