I opened it in Adobe Reader. It has a zoom function!

That is probably why Nick supplied the CAT filter with the kit!

As a employee at CATs largest North American dealer we constantly say filter filter filter. Filters are your friend and CAT has some of the best. HEs are worth every dollar. If you guys have any questions please let me know. I'll cross and see if we have a CAT HE filter that will work for your standard factory fuel filters.

Well engineered and surprisingly inexpensive!

I would not run anything else, except in an emergency, JMO.

we've got a fleet of trucks with probally 40 C-15's/3406E's and one C-16 and always have ran CAT factory filters just because of the quality of the filters. Thats why I got so excited about the Nictane filter set up because you get the best of both worlds, being able to run a Cat filter, and not having a cast filter head that will have a chance of warping and leaking :thumb:

I've had the CAT filter on my truck now since 500 miles and about 15 months. I've got about 11,500 miles on the truck and wondered if I have to worry about this filter breaking down due to lack of use. Should I replace it every year or so? I was planning on replacing it at about 25K and doing my factory one at the same time. The only problem is that will probably be at least another 15 or so months.

The filter media in the CAT filter is some of the best. I would say a good practice would be to change each fuel filter (CAT and OEM) once a year seeing that your not putting a lot of mileage on the truck. Your probably safe to go to the 2 year mark for both, but I would definitely not go past the two year mark regardless of mileage! I always try to be on the safe side. Your filters will probably not be used up due to the low mileage, but as you say, just the issue with the filter media breaking down would be a good reason to change them.

Okay, thanks for the advice! I'll give it about 6 more months and change them both out.
