I have a 99 chevy express van converted to run on waste vegetable oil. I have the filtering process accomplished nicely, but my turbo keeps getting knocked off in grease @ about 65. This would seem to be from lack of fuel flo. Do I need to heat my injectors with heated tape to thin the grease? Does anyone have experience with the heated tape? I know this is not nesisaraly the place for wvo question but this was suggested by someone there as a very comprehensive site. Any help would be appreciated. Thanx

So you're not heating the VO at all?

I have research WVO a bit and the conversions there heated the fuel in the tank using the cooling system and a heat exchange. The viscosity of WVO is thicker than diesel fuel. A quick Google search of WVO and heating should bring up a few hits.
This also looked interesting, no heating required...done with their secret formula.

This site is great for any 6.5L diesel questions. For WVO I would recomend frybrid dot com as a good forum since they focus more on conversions. http://biodiesel.infopop.cc/eve has some generic information as well.
Be prepared to have a little more information about your conversion so folks can better help you out.
The turbo should have nothing to do with a WVO conversion unless you have WVO getting into your crankcase and that would cause worse problems.
Good luck. It works great once the bugs are worked out.

Dont waste your money on "diesel secret". Just heat the WVO and you will not have problems.
And the infopop forum is the best place to learn about this sort of thing.
