Just curious if there are any kits to drop the spring hangers instead of putting blocks under the springs? It seems like dropping the spring hangers would eliminate axle wrap issues and prevent having to buy rearched springs.

Its called a "shackle lift" and is a very common way to lift a leaf springed vehicle.

It won't really help with axle wrap, but is a preferred method by off roaders to simply adding a lift block.

Aren't our shackles turned upwards? If so, a longer shackle would only lower the truck.

I have never lifted a DMax, but suppose that you could flip the shackle.

no if you make the shackle longer it will lift the rear spring farther from the frame

Look again. A longer shackle will lower your ride height.

The shackle reversal changes it from a tension to a compression shackle. It will lift your truck 1/2 as much as the shackle kit, most kits drop end up dropping the rear springs 8 inches. The problem with this is now your pinion angle is not correct for just a u joint rear shaft. This will work fine if you run a cv joint at the t case. You could also use degree shims to get i correct.
