OK I have been looking at this air box mod from kennedy diesel. It looks very simple to do but here is the thing, I live a very changeing climate(snowy, rainy most of the time) and I plow snow. Anyone who plowed snow before knows that it will blow all over the place in and under and over the truck etc. What will this mod be like in the winter months when I plow snow, will it allow too much of it to reach the box and stock filter or is it fine on the ones that have been done. Now I know my truck builds a lot of heat under the hood and most likely it will be melted b4 it gets to the box but it got me thinking b4 I did it. Anyone done this and plowed snow?

I don't plow, but I do get out in inclement weather. I haven't had any problems at all with mine.

what will it really do anyways. The tube will only allow so much air to pass am i right? I understand that the volume sitting there waiting to eneter the tube may be the whole purpose.
What do you guys think about keeping my airbox maybe doing the kennedy trick and haveing a friend bend me up some alluminum pipe for the tube to the turbo. Will it work ok if he can do it. Kinda like that true flow system which then brings me to ask if anyone uses it yet?

Maybe just a tad more, nothing you'd get upset over, then again, everyones different.

on my Toyota Landcruiser I added an aftermarket snorkel, talk about a cool sound, you would really hear the air getting sucked in, and that was only a 4.2l.

I went to Kennedy's site to read the Tech tip on the mod. It doesn't list the LMM, and I notice by your rides, that no one (so far) listed an LMM as their vehicle. Do you know if I can do the mod on my air box (LMM)? thx
