What kind of pump did you install and how did it go? And tips for me, I'll be putting in a set of TTS duals soon I beleive.

Did you have any problems before running bigger tunes? Right now my truck seems like it can't supply enough fuel when I crank out the edge juice. And I also got a real nice fuel prime loss issue I've been dealing with. Hopefully lift pumps will solve both issues.

I installed a Kennedy Diesel single pump. It is very similar to the TTS pumps !!

I bought mine from John piece milled so I am not sure how much differs when you get his "everything kit" !!

Getting the pumps together and mounting them should be pretty easy. Running the wiring harness should be easy !

Mine uses a oil pressure switch to activate.........it's a little hard to install but not too bad !!

But dropping the tank is not much fun. Defiantely don't have much fuel in it !
Once you get it down .......the fuel connections on the line you remove are kinda wierd. The lisle tool deal works well......but it seemed to me like one of those things that you have to get it positioned just right. It's hard to explain..........but I pushed like hell on them and they didn't release. I kept spinning it and trying again and again and whenever something got just right.........they disconnected pretty easy !

Getting the tank back up was kind of a pain again also !

Wiring and all is just finding what you need to tap and all !

Priming the pumps..........JK says to crank your truck up and let it run a couple of minutes before powering up your pumps . Well I did that and my truck ran about 10 seconds and died. I tried to crank it several times and it would not crank when turning the key on for 2-3 seconds . So i bleed the fuel filter until fuel came out and it still wouldn't crank............then I kinda panic'd .

Then I thought if it had fuel in the filter it would have to crank. So then I just let it turn over for about 10-15 seconds and it finally fired up and ran funny for a little bit.......then smoothed out.........then was fine !!

You trapped some air and had to purge the system. Not a bad deal you shouldnt have any more trouble.

I installed a FASS pump, really easy and the dreaded P1093 code has not come back. I had already cut my lines to install the dual filter setup so it was very easy to tee in the lift pump. Truck runs way better since I did this mod. Didn't like the idea of the shim and modifying the PRV.

I've never had a limp. I've never checked for hidden codes but I doubt I'd have a P1093 and not get a CEL would I?

The guy I buy my parts from recommended the Fass pump, $800. I was thinking thats a bit pricey since it looks like TTS is selling the dual pumps for around $550.

Is there much of a difference between the dual TTS and the Fass? I'm looking for my fuel system to support about 500rwhp. And I'm still debating whether to do the fuel pickup or not. It seems like the right thing to do but is it necessary? I guess for the extra 40 bucks and a bit of time dropping the tank a guy should do it?

I will say this..........I will not do a pick up any time soon........I can not even think about dropping the tank again !! I would do it when I was doing the pumps or not worry about it !! Some guys on here are running some pretty big hp without the pick up mod !!

You should be able to get that badarse KD dual pump set up with the filter and all for $800 !

I have never got a CEL with a fuel limp...........but you definately know when you limp !

I must not have limped then. All I ever noticed was that the truck just sucked in 4th and 5th gears and almost felt like a gas motor missing on a cylinder. But other than that it drives fine.

I'll look into that KD setup. Thanks alot!

The FASS pump cost me $450 CDN, considering the local dealer wanted $650 I thought this was a good price, find something that works for you and go with it. I never did the pickup mod and truely believe that I can still get higher HP with out the mod.

Some trucks are different, but I have on numerous occasions started a truck after having the tank out and pumps installed w/o priming and it started and ran indefinitely. It may surge and buck a bit, but they generally keep running except for those with the pump/filter combo. Those need to be bled.

On a hoist dropping the tank is quite quick and easy.

I put a floor jack with a board the length of the tank and used that to lower the tank. It was pretty easy to do as long as the tank is nearly empty.

Had to do it twice.

I'll be doin it this week. I'll keep you updated. Hopefully everything goes smooth. I chose the dual TTS setup with the pickup mod. Came to 600 CDN. After looking at a few they are all pretty similar and the TTS was easy to get through the guy I usually buy my parts from.

Just a my .02 cents... If you got a couple of buddies around next time you need to work on the fuel tank, just take the bed off. It is only 4 body bolts a couple of wiring harnesses and a grounding strap you have to remove. Done it works awsome. Again, just my .02 cents.
