I am trying to decide what the best upgrade is to increase durability. I have a 07 LBZ with 5800 miles. I just switched to amsoil 15w-40 and filter.

I was wondering the same thing, and will end up doing both at some point in time, but decided on the fuel filter first. It is a lot harder to control the quality of what goes in your fuel tank than it is the oil.

I think that the the secondary fuel filter is essential.......

A bypass oil filter will make your truck last longer then a secondary fuel filter without a doubt. IMO secondary fuel filter is far from essential when trying to make a truck last longer, but I do have both.

Have both on three vehicles,so I will say both helps to last longer and less problems. Also think both are well worth the money spent if you plan on driving it a long time.

HA! I was wondering what one to do 1st too? I was thinking fuel filter because of our injector problems. It might make them last longer with much cleaner fuel. Was up dozer boy?

Hey Vmax burn any rubber off those new tries or are ya still chicken...):h

I haven't seen that secondary fuel filter help reduce injector problems, but I'm no expert. A bypass oil filter would be a major help with all that extra fuel (soot) you’re using assuming your pistons don't give up.

Use amsoil Ea oil filters, you get the excellent filtering qualities of a bypass without a bypass. There is a test on this site someplace.

The only burning I have done lately is a late model Camaro SS with intake and exhaust last week! I bet his girlfiend was asking " Whats wrong with you car? "

Finally defueled just enough too haze instead of black out the street. The tune was made for the truck when it had A HT Turbo installed.
