Does anybody Know how much rear wheel HP the PPE tuner makes on the new 2007 LMM. Just wondering what the FWHP = at the wheels.

Ballpark is about 30%. 100hp at the fly is gona be around 70hp at the wheels.

You mean 100hp @ the fly is 30hp? Or is the ballpark roughly 70% of the flywheel HP?

30% drive train loss.

In two weeks I will be able to tell you when I get my suncoast tranny. We plan to dyno the truck that day or the next, should have done it last week but had to leave for 3 weeks of work:mad: . Will also be testing efi live hoping to reach 500 rwhp.

100hp at the fly is 70hp at the wheels. Our Duramax LMM's are rated at 365hp at the fly, stock. However u put that baby on the dyno, she may only bring around 260-270 hp at the wheels!

Most LBZ's and LMM's are making between 300-332 at the wheels bone stock...

In the August issue of Diesel Power Mag they did a dyno on the LMM and it came in at 285 rwhp and 517 rwtq

Why is drivetrain loss listed as a percentage? Does the drivetrain use more power to transmit more power? Isn't the loss a constant amount regardless of total power availible?

drivetrain loss is not a constant, especially with auto tranny. you have to factor torque convertor slip, different drag due to oil weight, etc. . . but for the most part it is very close from truck to truck.

You can't quote numbers with any reasonable accuracy unless you actually test the vehicle on the type of dyno you are quoting. Converting rear wheel to flywheel numbers will only be accurate (within margin of error and accuracy of test equipment) if you tested on both types of dyno for a true before/after effect.

Ran mine on a dyno saw a loss of about 26 percent of the Horsepower on my new LMM with the PPE module

How's the exhaust? What kind? How does it sound? Is it DPF back of turbo back? Do you notice a diff in power? Sorry for all the questions, I'm just curious!

Will it smoke a lot going with a new aftermarket exaust?

what kind of dyno was that on? was it a load bearing dyno? and what did you put down for torque?
thanks

It will be the same as older models if it is a turbo back exhaust, but alot of the exhaust systems for the LMM are DPF back systems.

gosh you know what I am not quite sure, buddy has a small block performance shop so I put it on his I can ask him, and about the exhaust its a turbo back by my buddy clyde at redline diesel in corona aka socaldieseltech on here, it sounds great has nice rich deep tone when your driving but when I am on the freeway not ne louder then stock, roll down the rear window or stand behind it and its got the classis LBZ turbo fan sound, black smoke is less then my LBZ but it blows smoke for sure.

cant leave the sensors in you just unplug them and say la ve, if you were to leave the sensors in which is near to impossible the computer would throw even more codes right now I am throwing 2 started with 3 but a little more time with efi live and I wont throw any, just takes a while reverse engineering this emissions Bull SHIZ ya know? soon soon, but the codes dont do anything no limp mode no anything, ohh but the biggest bummer is with the dtc's being thrown because of the exhaust, not enough back pressure for the comp etc the ecu wont let the engine run when you use the remote start it will start it then right away shut off like its out of fuel, give me another month and we will have it figured out, put the power and the sound is what gets me by without the remote start, way worth it and way better for it.

really what tunner I know no one out makes a tunner that will fix the exhaust/emissions dtcs yet besided working your ass of with efi live but it doesent sound like you did that what did you use and doese your remote start work

He used an hptuner, im sure it works because the codes are what is causing the truck to shut off whenever you remote start it.
