Sorry if this is in the wrong place,

John Deere Low-Beam Headlamp Install

Part# AH211917 Bulbs Costs $23.99 per/bulb @ JDParts.com

1)First I removed these pins in order to take out the Headlamp Assembly

http://dieselplace.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=42843&d=1185641526

2)Then Pull out the HL-Assembly and detach the connection from the lamps to free the HL-Assembly from the truck

http://dieselplace.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=42844&d=1185641526

3)Next rotate the bulb to the left to release it from the HL-Assembly

(WARNING: do not touch the bulb with bare hands, as this will decrease the life of the bulb)

4)Being careful not to touch the bulb trim the bigger tab at the top left to the size of the factory tab

5) Reinsert the new bulb and rotate to the right to lock it in

6) Now reconnect the plugs to the HL-Assembly

7)Reinstall th HL-Assembly and lock the pins back into place

8)Check Install to make sure installation was correct and is properly working

So, are these brighter than silverstars or similar bulbs. Just wondering because the price would be about the same. Have you used the John Deere bulbs before? How long do they last? If they would last longer than silverstars, I might look into getting some since our winters here are long and dark.

My first set of them only had them in for a couple of days now ,but I was reading the sticky in this forum and apparently they are alot brighter than silverstars(never owned silverstars b4) and last alot longer since they are like a reguler bulb!Just don't touch the bulbs w/ you're bare hands! Ther's a couple of threads on this same section dicussing JD HIR AH211917 lowbeams and several people seem to enjoy them so far w/ no probs. I know they are alot brighter than my stocks by along shot!!!!!!

Anyone know how these compare to the Phillips Rally Vision bulbs for brightness?
