I have read and searched through tons of post on deleting the cat & muffler and also gutting the muffler. I was going to just straight pipe my truck and be done but I don't want that drone. So after reading that others have straight piped and then went back and just gutted there muffler I thought I would try so I cut that bad boy right open. Inside there are them metal plates that all the pipes run through and my question is. I have taken out all the pipes and the middle plate and the plate that is still left is in the one back behind the exhaust outlet pipe. The plate still has all the holes there but nothing behind it. Will this affect me in anyway? Or should I try to cut it out?(it looks like a PAIN) Will this have an affect on drone or not? I am not really at a lose because if it doesn't work I would just cut it off but would rather go this route if it will work and be no drone and plus I want to have a muffler on just in case I get pulled over and the cops asks if its straight piped I would just point to the muffler.(I have always thought that it is illegal to have your truck straight piped is this correct)

The one with the arrow is where I am talking about all the pipes that have been removed and there is just that plate with nothing behind it. As you can see the outlet pipe comes in farther than that so would I really need to remove it? Or is it just fine as is because I have the muffler lined up tacked together and just wondering if it would affect me? Cause I really don't want to have to split it twice.:mad:
