I have some ford ranger driving needle D*CK know it all at work trying to tell me the allison trans. is over rated..... So I would like to know how many of you out there can tell me if you have had problems and what they were? thank you all.

22,000 hard miles on mine w/out a programmer and as of the last few weeks a Diablo on the Tow up to 85 horse tunes without a hickup. The Alli isn't over rated, I think honestly it's UNDER rated. I'm thoroughly impressed every time i put 13k on the back end of the truck and it handles grades, bumps and bruises, bad roads, interstates, stop and go traffic, this is part of a GREAT PACKAGE. Very well put together in my experience.

115K+ miles, 400HP, no problems, stock tranny. Does that say enough??

Correction: They're good up to 30,000 now.

77000 miles on my '05 running 90% of the time on Hypertech setting 3 and have ZERO problems with the Tranny.

As with all blowhards, ask for objective proof/data that it's overrated and he'll probably give you the stories from "a guy I knew."

07 classic,25000 miles, this is a no no, but i did pull my bobcat on an 18 ft. Hd bobcat trailer, with extra attach. On the trailer, plus fuel tank, with 325/18 tires, up a sizable hill, with bully on extreme and full mbrp, smoking like a freight train, and passing every other vehicle, i would say ally was torqued just a tad, dont try this at home..... No issues as of yet. D.
