I figured that since the manifold will be off, I will replace the gaskets even though BD says it's not 100% necassary. There is a lot of info. here about the manifold but not much on the gaskets. Does anyone have the part#'s for the gaskets on the manifold side and the exhaust end? I don't have much faith and/or patience while my dealership parts guy looks them up. Thanks.

I will say that I replaced the gaskets when I installed my BD manifold. My neighbor reused the old gaskets when he installed his BD manifold. Neither one of them leak.

I would save the money honestly. I put the BD on miles ago and had zero issues. They are steel gaskets so unless you bend them in half they will be fine, take the money and buy something nice for yourself instead!

I did the BD manifold install myself and if I had to do it again I would pay the dealership's asking price of $200.00 to get it done. What a pain in the buttocks that was, took several hours, those bolts that attach to the up-pipe were the main problem, couldn't get them in the new manifold, took a ton of time and raised my blood pressure about 30 points. It really depends how much your free time is worth to you, if you dont mind giving up a whole weekend day to get it done then go for it, or if you are good with a wrench and think you could do it in a couple hours go for it. For me, looking back I should have just payed to get it done and enjoyed my Saturday....

Did you put the up-pipe bots in first? I had mine done in a couple of hours with no problems other than hitting my head on the fender when I stood up once, man did that suck!

Just FYI, those up-pipe bolts are easy to get out and back in. You use a 12mm 12point socket and ratchet with a 3ft extension and you can break them loose from underneath the truck no problem at all. I agree they would be a bitch if you tried to access them with an end wrench
