I did a search for a problem like mine, but it was all on manual A/C systems. Mine is the automatic one and my fan has gone funky. Even though it has the Auto function you can still manually run it but it has no knob. Sometimes the fan barely moves air then kicks in to high then goes back down.

Is there a module or something that goes bad on these or does it sound like the blower itself is crapping out?

I believe it's just slowing down the fan and speeding it back up again to keep the temp stabilized. That's why it's called Auto, it automatically adjust the fan to maintain the desired temp.

Mines an Automatic as well and it does the same thing. I don't care for it doing that so I leave it on manual.

I NEVER use the Auto mode. The fan problem is in either mode right now.

The equivalent part to a blower resistor has gone bad, most likely. I believe it is called a "blower control module" and is mounted in the same place as the resistor would be on manual air conditioning.
