So I thought I'd start a thread on abbreviations we use in order to help some of the n00bz. :D:D


So:

D/A=Duramax/Allison
CTD=Cummins Turbo Diesel (Dodge)
PSD=Powerstroke Diesel (Ford)

DPF=Diesel Particulate Filter
EGR=Exhaust Gas Recirculation
EGTs=Exhaust Gas Temperatures

POS=Piece Of S***
B/S or BS=Self Explanatory.

GVWR=Gross Vehicle Weight Rating [The max your truck can weigh fully loaded.]
GCWR=Gross Combined Weight Rating [The weight of your truck and trailer combined.]
GAWR=Gross Axle Weight Rating [The max weight your axle can be loaded with.]

DIC=Driver Information Centre [In the dash at the bottom; tells you MPGs etc.]
