Hello - I was investigating of doing a Cat-Delete, So many different opinions of yes you should or no you shouldn't, getting SES light, Benefits, disadvantages - Anyone w/ facts of doing the CAt-Delete - Do I need to install the EGR Blocker plate and/or fingers stick?
Found a link if I do - or if anyone needs a link: http://www.kennedydiesel.com/categor...bCategory2=115 (http://www.kennedydiesel.com/categor...bCategory2=115) -
I ran across that site a while back - and been pondering my noodle if I should do it or not - Better Flow is GREAT - But I don't want Code issues either - I am very interested to know if you can just do a Cat Delete and not have to do the EGR Blocker and Fingers Stick. From What I have read on the EGR plate & Stick - if you do the plate you should do the stick. The Plate blocks the soot from entering the engine and The Finger Stick does not actually block any codes. Instead, it modifies the signal from the MAF sensor based on the EGR valve's position. This provides the ECM with the values it expects for intake air flow. Therefore, the Finger Stick is a signal modifier, not a code blocker, and requires an operational EGR valve to work properly. If you don't do the stick you will eventually will get SES (Service Engine Soon)...
I have seen different posts on this - Sorry to start a new - but I nead to know
Thoughts - Anyone......
Let me know - Thanks!!!
