Can anyone tell me where the cruise control wiring harness is located under the dash and which wire to ground or provide voltage to in order to activate the SET circuit?

I have the high idle mod and would like to add a relay to the remote starter to trip it after startup. The plan is to use the trunk release circuit to trip the relay.

Thanks a bunch for the help.Edited by: Duff

There will be a blue wire under the steering column that will test +12v when you press the set button.

You will need to wire your remote start to a relay because your remote start will put out a ground pulse when you press the truck button.

If you have your high idle activated by a seperate switch you will also need to either leave the switch on when you intend to activate the high idle via remote or use another relay to hooked to a ground out while running to simulate the switch being on when the truck is runnon on remote start. Either that or you can hook the high idle up using the brake switch method which I prefer for simplicity.

I do, indeed, have the high idle hooked up via the brake switch. I will leave the cruise control in the "ON" position in the evening and just need to start and trip the "SET" circuit to bump the idle.

Thanks a bunch for the info, I at least have a place to start looking and an idea of what I am trying to control: ie +12v to a specific wire. I'll add the relay and a power source to make it work.

Again, thanks for the help.Edited by: Duff
