azduramax04 07-25-2007, 12:30 AM OK, took the truck into the dealer today. They test drove it and said that the noise is a misfire. Checked balance rates and they were fine. Next up is the compression test. They said that the edge chip may have melted a piston? Does this sound like something possible? What else may cause a misfire? Did balance rates, and compression test. All came back within 'normal' realm. They can only think of the edge chip as the cause. Everything on the tec11 came back clean. NO charge to me! Dinner? Its much much less frequent, but still does it. Just VERY hard to duplicate in front of the techs. Makes me wonder about their conclusion. | ||
