i am converting my '94 6.5 to a db2 pump from a '93 i know that i need different injection lines but what years 6.2 used the same injectors as the '94 or at least have the same size and thread pattern. i found a set from a '84 on that auction site, will these work?

6.5l injector pipes were larger inside diameter for increased flow.
DB2-4911 had inline piezo timing module on #1, which required shorter pipe on that port.
6.5L pipes were shorter over-all length to fit revised injector angles, with shorter injectors. Edited by: gmctd

The 6.5 injectors should work just fine as is. Threads are the same.

'84 6.2L lines will work, same threads on both ends, same firing order. Slightly smaller ID, 0.93" on the 6.2, 0.98" spec'd for the 6.5. They will work just fine.

I would think a 92-93 would be the ones to have, but if you can bend your lines without crimping them, go for it.
Just wondering, What else do you have planned for this build? 19:1 c/r? The 6.2 block is ideal because the price of a 6.5L core is at an alltime high price($3250 core)with all the military hummers getting built with it. We should all rebuild a 6.2 and swap them and sell our 6.5L cores, the money you get for the core would offset the cost of the rebuild/installation.Edited by: quantum mechanic

Quantum Mechanic, remember back in the early '90s when GM sold 6.5 Goodwrench crate engines to replace the 6.2s. They sold you a fuel line installation package that contained all eight injector lines and the necessary clamps, etc. It had a GM part number and was inexpensive compared to buying individual lines. The lines matched up with the up-angle new style injector and allowed you to use the 6.2 pump and injectors on the new 6.5 providing you sent it to the pump shop and had it adjusted for the additional fuel needed. I wonder if that kit is still available. I remember it wasn't listed in the regular parts book or microfitche but was available through the GM Target Master program literature distributed with the engine. (Came in the envelope with the engine) What do you think?

i would like to build a 6.2 but i'm not sure of the best years. i know that the 92-93 had the 599 block even when it was still 6.2 but what others had the one piece seal?
