While driven down the road the engine is cutting in and out sounding like its not getting any fuel or like the pump is cutting in and out. Anyone had this problem b4?

So fare we have changed out the fuel filter and the fuel pump and still doing the same things. Anything else that we need to try?

Put a pressure gauge on the water drain valve discharge (near the thermostat housing). Needs to be >5psi at idle, >2psi at WOT.

Check sticky threads at top of the forum for diagnostic information.

I'm having same problem with my truck. Changed fuel pump, fuel filters, new battery, fuel relay switch & starter. Have a 1994 gmc sierria 6.5 turbo.acts like not getting proper fuel. It'll start & drive fine but once you stop it will not start back for an hour or more & then it'll keep stopping, starting, till it finally drives perfect until you stop it, then no start till its ready. I hope someone can help with your problem & maybe help with mine. Thanks, bc12

Do the lift pump test, which is part of the diagnostic checklist in my signature and the FAQ's, while you are running that check out. Repost your results back here.

Hey BC welcome to your 1st post :welcome2:

rather than jump into someone else's thread, we find it's better to open your own thread, as we may have different things to recommend unique to your situation, so please post , but on your own thread, it gets hard after a while to keep problems separated on 2 different trucks in same post.

For you though I'd recommend starting with the diagnostic list in any 6.5 mods signature.

Also take some time to fill out your signature it will hellp with diagnosis as well.

BAMA COON as in Alabama ??, if in AL where in on the Coast or elsewhere, I'm Ms Coast not too far from LA (Lower Alabama to those not from these parts)

Lift pump is good. Still don't know what the problem is. No error codes.

I'm stuck on this one.
