: Alison spin on filter $28?
blnagel 10-30-2004, 01:30 PM I went to the stealer yesterday and bought this for 28 frigging bucks. I thought that was steep and I told em that but they said they dont make any $ on filters. Is this too high? They also said to change it every 20-30,000 miles. I thought this was way toooooo long.

SteveNorCal 10-30-2004, 02:05 PM At NAPA or Wix they are about $9.
TEXMudder 10-30-2004, 02:28 PM I took this to the dealer:
http://www.gmdieseltech.com/store2/cart.php?target=product&a (http://www.gmdieseltech.com/store2/cart.php?target=product&action=view&product_id=161 68&category_id=252) mp;action=view&product_id=16168&category_id=252
They verified thats the part number and charged me 9.00 for the filter.
blnagel 10-30-2004, 02:35 PM I printed that off. Will take to the stealer and see what they will do. I thought $28 was too high. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley18.gif

dmaxfan 11-29-2004, 10:32 AM I hate it when the stealers say that they aren't making any money off of it. If they didn't make any money off of it, they wouldn't be in business. just my $.02
dmaxalliTech 11-29-2004, 11:20 AM GM cost on the filters when purchased through SPO is substantially higher then even what the high end allison dealers charge
