I just recently noticed a resonance/vibration that can be felt and heard at 2000 rpm. Can't say if its been there since new and I just haven't felt it as I was new to the truck. It can be felt/heard in any gear at any speed at exactly 2000 rpm. It will do it in N or P as well if holding rpm at 2000. Truck is bone stock....with 1100 miles.....Anyone else have this???

My truck has 12048mi on it, it started having this "Resonance" at around 11K miles ( I bought the truck new at the End of May).


I get this same thing only at 1500rpm, pulling unloaded with the T/C locked, approx 48mph. The plastic on the passenger side door and kickplate under dash, starts to vibrate - buzz loudly, slight increase /decrease in RPM and it stops.


You can feel a stong vibration ( I never noticed before? ) When I place it in drive in the morning. Strong vibration in the stereing wheel and even felt through the brake pedal?


Short of it, it was at the dealers yesterday for the problem. They told me it was normal? .. After they seen I was upset, they started a new LLY they had in the shop for service, like mine, to show me.. Guess what, it was smooth as silk..


Now it goes in again on Tuesday for futher diagnose.. I found out their Diesel mechanic was on Vac.. Why they took it in with no Mechanic ? See what happens on Tuesday. My luck it's normal and Kerry wins too http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif

Thought of that, but you can feel it at a stop in Drive. I do not think it has anything to do with the engine/drive train. Sounds/feels more like something loose. Had a similar vibration on my 92 f250 4x4, 460 5spd.. turned out to be a loose skid plate.. Don't have skid plates on this truck.
