Mine does the same, also recall other members with same noise (perhaps tbone??) goes away when warm.

I don't know if this relevant or not for the Power Pup, BUT sounds like the same issue LLY's are having with the Juice. Have you tried getting the reflash update in your LLY for "Fuel Knock"? It sure did work for my LLY and the juice. Just a thought....

the reflash wont cure it that for sure as ive done that. i talked
to phillip at bullydog who programs these and he said the program could
be changed by removing the timing and would cause that problem to
disappear, but you would probably lose any mileage gains you are
getting with the increased timing and if youre stacking it, you would
be loosing the gains as well. so in essense, its timing like
gmc02 stated, but i dont think that its too terrible as of late for me
anyways as i have found that it will sound worse without stanadyne and
with regular oil as compared to synthetic oil, and if youre stacking
it, youre going to get better results as it has the timing to be
stacked with the edge which has no timing



on edit - the thing rips when stacked with the edge, its definitely
faster than just edge on 5, and the truck performs better in all areas

my LLY w/ Edge does it... Horribly!!!!!!!!!!! As soon as it hits 180 BOOM goes away.. VERY ANNOYING.. If i unplug the Attitude its stops and the power is their all the time...

I have the PPE Xcelerator ( Std. version), does the same thing...Knocks like crazy until warmed up. Pretty annoying, neighbors not to happy when I leave at 5:30 AM. I'm looking for another programmer that doesn't do this.

I refuse to load/run the Xcelerator and drive with it on my '02. I only use it on the dyno...


The BD Intimidator produced idential power curve results, but seems to be less "rattly" although I did not subject it to a lot of road time.
