Going on vacation tomorrow and would really like the lower egt's with the latest update.
I have never down loaded updates before.
How do we get them?
I sourced the website and have downloaded the software but couldn't find the new maps.

I have read for hours here now but never found a post about actually receiving and the actual function of downloading them.

First you need to load the CD that came with the Evo. It will automatically update to the newest software version. The lightning software will do nothing however without the Evo plugged into the computer via the supplied USB cable (or any other USB cable). Make sure that you update the firmware to the newest version and their should only be one or two tune that you can chose from. Just make sure that after the updates finish you wait until the EVO screen clears the message that says Evolution Initializing (or something close to that) before you unplug it from the computer or you will have to go back through the whole updating process again.

I think I need to ask a newbie question also.
I kept getting error 7 when trying to download to my truck, After talking to edge and 3 different units I can finally down load to the truck. WOW what power.
Problem is I still cant get my computer's to locate the devce, I get to the lightning program asking to connect device, I plug it in , it lights red and thats it.
I also have a read me file (in programs) that says there's supposed to be a usb driver file and to click install, I dont have this file. However I do have the edge drivers on my pc's, I guess they just can't be found?
Is there a simple error on my part or should I call edge again and ask for help?
