http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley20.gif I BELEIVE THE ENGINES ARE RATED AT 350000 MILES, BUT IT ALL DEPENDS ON HOW IT WAS DRIVEN, AND MAINTAINED. I REMEMBER THAT THE TRANSMISSION WAS THE WEEK POINT ON THE 7.3L. I WOULD TAKE ALMOST ANY DIESEL OVER ANY GAS MODEL. GOOD LUCK.

I'd go for a 97 Powerstroke as many people who like the old body style preffer the 97's. By 97 the truck/motor was pretty much bullet proof.

120K miles is nothing for a PSD unless your worried about the automatic trannys wich don't last forever. I see lots of adds for 97 PSD's with around 200K miles stating new trannys.

My uncles 97 F250 has 300K+ miles and a few years ago he replaced the torque convertor, still the original tranny! He recently did a CPS but besides that has only done front end work.

I bought my 95 with 215,000 miles and now has 246,000 and still runs like new! I believe the auto tranny was replaced at 190,000. As said before maintenance is the key on these engines! There is a guy at TDS that has 496,000 miles on his 95 psd. They are good trucks you won't regret buying it!! http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley4.gif
