I've seen the "Race Trucks" of Europe that must weigh 10,000 lbs. Man, those things are just too cool! It would be nice if we had 3/4 ton race trucks here. I think the over heating engines, over heating and slipping transmissions, fadeing brakes, good tires and chassis stuff would be a boom for all of us. ...... Why doesn't this type of stuff happen? Heck, set it up kinda like F1. Give them a minumum race weight and X amount of fuel from one truck.... and let them at it! I would pay 50 bucks a ticket or more just to watch that kind of Racing! http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley32.gif ....... Just a thought. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley4.gif

All trucks with NASCAR spec tires, and as any chips as they can stack, no drugs...limited to twin turbos Diesel#2 and commercially available diesel fuel addative.... stock rear ends....oh, and all trucks have to race with 800lbs of fixed ballast in the beds!

hey forget the 800 dead weight.. just tell'em it's gotta weigh 7,000 lbs, meet the rollcage requirement and get 7 mpg. got a 70 mile race.. then you get 7 gallons, that's it. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley4.gif Tuners would play hell with that. They would need all the power availible with some MPG as well as keeping the turbo cool. ..... Well, something to that nature. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley4.gif

I see you are trying to make this a fair race. Don't you realize that you will be putting all the coniving, underhanded, dishonest, downright cheating bastards ( i love um) out of a job? What the hell is wrong with you bro? What would Smokey say?

Have them race with a car trailer on the back. Towing a Nissan Titan.

Seriously, you CAN enter your truck in AutoX. There is a truck class. But the Lightnings will rape you without kissing you first. Believe it or not, they actually handle better that most full sized cars. Surprised the hell out of me.

Local dirt track has 2 trucks in the mini stock class (4 banger) and had a full size chevy in the factory stock class 1 year.

well, I don't know....... they might handle well.... but getting 10MPG in race conditions might be a stretch. I'll take the Duramax in the 24 hour run over the lightning. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif All I need for the tranny is for Mike to build the damm thing and slapp a cooler on it. I think the 4-wheel steer stuff could be modded to fit and hold up... if it were geared right.

Oh yeah....... they gotta be street legal and have working doors. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif ...... the 7,000 lb qualifying weight would probably keep the truck looking normal... or as normal as possible. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley32.gif

No way ........... gotta make stupid, like nascar. Make'em wear something about the size of a fat 265........ something we could possibly run on the street. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/hihi.gif
