Went on a trip to Texas from Florida this past weekend. Pulled an open 12' flatbed with 2 Harley's on it. Trailer had expanded steel ramp sticking up in the back. I only averaged about 13.5 mpg. Towing other trailers weighing much more and physically larger I usually get 15 mpg.
However on this trip it was 95*, my trans temp was up to 190*, the highest it has ever been. It goes down to normal levels, 150* as the outside temp goes down.
As I am writing this, I am thinking that I need to check the fuel cooler and clean it. Any thoughts guys?
