Does any one know what fuse # is for brake controller. Diesel truck. My brake controller stopped working. I can not find the fuse for it.

There are two fuses in the engine compartment fuse block. They are the large ones closer to he front of the truck and in the middle. You will see two bolt lugs there as well. The one closer to the engine is for brake controller and the one closer to the drivers front wheel is for the aux 12v feed to the trailer harness. As far as I know it is not wired up. There is a wire between the fuse compartment and fender well tape around the wire harness there. This is the wire to the external 12v aux feed. It goes on the terminal mentioned above closer to the fender well. Connect as needed.

Thanks to you Brian, My Trailer Battery will now charge. Thanks you. ( As for my brake controller the fuse is is not blown, looks like 2 weeks from buying my truck it goes back to Dealer. ) How I hate taking it to the dealership service.

I made a mistake. Had to open the manual again. The fuse #7 in the engine compartment is power to the brake controller. Check that one out. It is located to the corner closer to the engine and cab of the truck. Actually second one down. There are several other fuses but most look like lights for the trailer.

If still no fix then off to the dealer. No big deal I would say. Had mine 3 months so far. No issues other than 2 weeks ago had to have the dreaded service 4wd issue. Change out the switch module. Normally they fix the same day since they keep a stock on that item. With the new model and style had to come back a few days later. Well at least got this one out of the way. The last 5 chevy 4wd I have had all needed this changed out at some point.

Ok, I'm having a problem. I see the two lugs by the fuse box as well as the wire that was taped by the fender. Both of the lugs have 12v on them, however, the only lug that has a nut on it with a wire is the one closest to the engine. Whenever i put the wire on either of these two lugs, i measure 12v on the wire but it is not making it to the plug at the back of the truck. All of my lights work as well as the brake controller. Any suggestions?

there are two wires taped off under the hood. One next to the fender and one next to the master cylinder (between the brake and the fuse block). They have a different size lug crimped on them so they can only go on one stud each. Also you need to add a fuse for the stud.
