Does anyone make a chip, or tuner for the '05 Duramax in a C4500, and
if so, where does it plug in.. I can't find a port under the dash, like
in all my other vehicles..

I just installed an edge juice w/ attitude in my 05 4500 4x4. It plugs into the harness under the air box.

Interesting.. Thank you. Is there a specific system for the medium duty
truck, or can things like tire sizes be modified to include the MD
tires?
The other questions that leap to mind are:
How much do the both units cost?
How easy is it to fit to a MD?
How much of an increase is apparent, in Fuel economy?
I need also to find somewhere to purchase the system...

Same unit for MD as LD, the only problem I have noticed is the speedometer reading. I can only get it within 10 mph of actual, which really doesn't matter. I'm sure it's due to the 5.13 gear ratio the 4x4 has. Mileage I haven't noticed, it's too much fun. I paid $700.00 through a company I found on Ebay. I mounted the box on a bracket behind the airbox. One thing I did when I installed it was to actually remove the exhaust manifold to be sure no metal shavings went through my turbo. I am also going to install a pyrometer in an existing guage hole in the dash for when it goes in for warranty work, and I remove the edge.
I saw you were looking to cancel your DRL's, let me know if you figure it out, I would like to do the same. I tried pulling a relay and a fuse, but it didn't work.

Thank you again, for the Edge info... I will get the system next month...
About the DRL's. I have tried the relay, fuse, plug, and a few other
things all of which did nothing to turn off the DRL's, so I have
ordered a few bits from an electronic company...
What I intend to do, is place a relay, with normally closed contacts,
in line with the DRL's at the point where the wires enter the
hood..... This will require two relays, costing about $3
each. The low beam cct is what to look for, brown wires which
need cutting, and the relay socket attaching somewhere on that hood
cowl.. The low amp terminals should be connected to both a
momentory push switch, to allow for flashing your lights, and to a SPST
switch, to defeat the running lights altogether.
The only possible problem could be a reaction by whatever chip controls
the DRL's, which could be easily solved by making the SPST switch into
a changeover switch, and putting a resister in to give the same load.
If you wanted different running lights, you could put some similar
wattage lights, colored yellow, under the bumper... and powereing
them through yet another relay, normally open, that is controlled by
the ignition cct. That way you have daytime running lights, that
are not headlights, controlled by a change sw alternating with the
headlights, the option of running the headlights only, having no lights
on at all, and the ability to flash the headlights..
I should get the relays etc, Tuesday, so will post if it all works.. :)

So how was the performance improved? I love mine in my truck, and my buddy has considered getting one for his 4500 rollback, he wants to use it for towing when climbing hills so he could try to keep the speed at 70 the whole way up.:ro)

I installed 1 about 2 weeks ago on a customers truck. Very impressive, along with the Juice W/ Attitude I also removed the muffler and replaced it with a straight pipe and it lowered the EGT's about 100 degrees.

I have a 05 Kadiak C5500 with a 75mph speed limiter, will the Edge remove this?

The edge cannot remove the speed limiter.
