Well i just bought a ppe programmer, and so far i really like it, i just have the economy one, and its set on level three on my stock trany. My question is... there is an option on the ppe to reset tranny, is that nessicary to do that?? Or should i leave it how it is.

I also have notice when i bought the pickup that when it shifts it kinda pulls back then shifts, its smooth as hell, but was wondering why it gives a little pull back when it shifts. You can just feel it in the seat . My duramax is the first one ive been in that does that. I have 37,000 on it.

Yes, reset the TAPS so that it relearns quicker with your new power level.

the "pull back" your feeling is the engine defueling for the split second during the shift. no problem there. it is designed into gm software, and sometimes further enhanced with aftermarket power adders.

Thats what i thought, and yes that is good then, really good for the trany. Do you think a transgo Jr. Kit is nessicary for a small programmer like i have, just to be on the safe side?? I have PPE Economy

the trans go jr is only for the 6spds. it will help but only in certain gears. look in the aftermarket ally section. there is a recent thread on the topic of the jr in a 5spd.
