Ive searched and searched for a way to paint the stock bumper cap and mirrors white like the rest of the vehicle. I love the look and am having a hard time saying no to leaving it alone. Has anyone found any aftermarket bumper or mirror caps that fully cover? What techinques are you guys using to get htis done, since I know it is possible? Are you talking about just the plastic parts or the whole bumper, chrome and all?


I scuffed and painted the plastic parts of my bumpers and mirrors and it looks pretty good. I just used a scotch brite pad to scuff, then used adheation promoter, then paint and clear.

Chevy or GMC? There are caps for Chevy front bumpers. For My GMC, I had to de-chrome a bumper and paint it. There are no full mirror covers that I know of, but you can smooth and paint the whole thing. I've got a few things painted on my truck, check out my page for pics, let me know if you want to know how I did any of it.

Yeah its a Chevy, Ive searched Hi and Low for a cap for the front. The only one I have encountered is the SS replica Cap. Im in the process of painting the mirrors, but a cap for the front would be nice to find. Thanks for the info!!!
