These guys helped me out over the phone this past weekend on my SC III install. I had couple of problems but finally got it worked out. Tranny shifts perfect now that relearn is done, did not clear the taps though. Big difference than stock, very impressed.

Thanks, Jason.

Mike, I too, was worried about his rubber.... I am curious as to where it came from, but .....I guess it was an extra part

You can never have too many rubbers. You never know when you might need one. http://dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/hihi.gif

I was nuetered in 1974. I only use rubbers when I hyperventilate. They make great balloons though. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley16.gif

Here is my extra "rubber". Same diameter as the C2 balance piston or the outside of the C2 apply piston. It looks like an o-ring but its' shape is a triangle. The break in the picture is where I pulled it apart. It came out of the trans as a complete o-ring.

I am more interested in knowing how you got that razor blade to stand up !

I dont recognize that as a part of anything in there...Sure seems strange....

Duramxman, The Suncoast III kits can be purchased from Suncoast directly or from supporting vendors here on the 'place'.

Expect to pay around 2200 plus shipping and converter core for a complete Stage III kit

It came from inside the clutch drum. When I got all the snap-rings out to get to the C2 apply piston and turned it upside-down and dropped it on the table for the apply and the balance piston to come out, it was laying there with them. I carefully checked to make sure it did not come from the outside rubber ring of the apply piston. Checked everything else and could not find anything.

My guess is extra rubber that squezed past the molding when the balance piston was made.http://dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley5.gif and when it came out it fell off.

Oh, almost forgot, the rubber piece is not the same thickness all the way around.

Eric

And for the razor blade standing up just pure magic...http://dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/hihi.gif

nah, it was on a piece of cardboard, just pushed down a little.
