Does adding air ride suspension increase max. tow weight?

I know you wouldn't want to push 16000 with the 2500HD stock, but it does have air ride suspension on the rear.

Are you talking about Air Bag Overloads or a full on air suspension like I have? I have no rear springs at all. Either way, legally your GCVW (truck and trailer) and your GVW (Truck and tongue weight of the trailer) do not change. That is set in stone. What will change is the ride and the leveling height of the truck. You're still limited to what the factory rates the truck for. Air Bags alone are a big help in controlling the leveling under load, while the full on air suspension system automatically keeps the truck level while improving the ride especially on a 1 ton dually. Kind of an expensive overkill on a 3/4 ton as you don't have the extra unsprung weight and an overload spring to keep banging away.

I have no idea, as i cant look at the truck right now, but if u look in the back, there are two airbags on each side between like the axle and the body i think.

Dont quote me on that one though.

sounds like just helper springs. you really can't do anything that would raise the weight ratings for the truck in the eyes of the law yes you may be able to handle a larger load but you still are under what the manufactures put for the truck so if you get caught with more weight then the truck is rated for then you still get a ticket even if the truck can handle it
