I'm thinking of trading my dually in for a single wheel new body style just not sure of the new engine. My main concern is engine life with the new emission items.

What will you be using the truck for? If you're happy with your truck and are going to be towing, I'd probably keep it as it isn't THAT old of a truck at all.

I do not know this for a fact but second hand chit chat from my dealer talking to some GM reps. They have been using DPF setup for about 5 years in Japan with the duramax's there.

I will be using the truck the same way I am now, the reason for the change is I no longer have room in my truck for my family. I have bucket seats and need to get a truck with a bench.

You may miss the fuel economy of the LLY BUT you love the extra 55 ponies on the LMM

I think it all depends on whether you like the new truck and can deal with the regen and lose of a few mpg from this. The LBZ is a good motor as well and you could easily get one of those, but also how do you plan to use your truck will play a factor in that.
