Got a quick questions for ya'll. How much exhaust smoke is normal? Sometimes when I pull up to stop light, i look in my mirror and see a lot of white smoke coming out of my exhaust, then i romp on it and it all blows out with black smoke.then at the next light it's fine (no smoke)Sometimes i see a lot of smoke, and other times i see none, unless i romp on it. Is there somthing wrong with my truck?
Thank you.

Let me start by first telling you that I am not a Tech.
I have a 2003 with the LB7. The engine is stock. The only time that I will see white smoke is when it is really cold out and it is first started. The white smoke will continue until the engine warms up some.
The only time I see any black smoke is when I put my foot into ithttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley4.gif. So, in short, when at a stop light I don't have any smoke. Edited by: Darin Billing

No tech either, but it might have something to do with the "programmer and lots of other goodies..."
Smoke can come from lots of sources, bad injectors, bad turbo seals, injector rates too high, air, oil...etc
