Need help with my exhaust noise. I have a turbo back 4" exhaust from Warp Speed Performance on my truck. The guy I bought it from bought it on ebay, had it installed and gave me the stock to go with it. The problem I have with it is the really annoying drone at all speeds below 75mph. I'm looking at either going back to stock, or replacing the muffler with something quieter. I don't tow anything heavier than a pop up camper of a trailer full of dirt so performance isn't such an issue as it could be. I want to get rid of the drone, especially at highway speeds, I would like to hear my radio sometimes, but like the 4" look. I know going back to the stock is cheaper and sure to be quiet, but would like to buy a good muffler to replace mine with. I don't want to spend money on something and be in the same position I'm already in.

Just to be clear, I don't mind some noise, especially during acceleration, but want to get rid of the highway drone. I know everyones opinion of what is too loud is different, so think close to stock sound at highway speeds. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I have the 4" Banks Monster Exhaust and I don't have any drone. Noise on a scale of 1-10 and 5 being stock...mine is about 5.5. You can't even hear the exhaust over the engine noise if that helps. It sounds a little deeper if you stand outside the truck, but idling it is bone stock quiet. you could probably buy just the muffler, but that might be pricey. I think I might try adding a 4" resonator into the system that might quiet it right down and resonators are usually cheaper than a different muffler or exhaust system.

I had my 4" turbo back exhaust straight piped and I didnt like it at all then I installed an MBRP muffler today and I love it now it is quiet like stock when cruising and has a nice rumble at idle and when getting on it.
