Has anyone attempted to put a 3" body lift on a 2500 Duramax? I heard it is hard to do and it shows a lot of frame rail. Help http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley11.gif

search for bodylifts for HD's. Performance Accessories hasn't perfected it yet and I think will have one out maybe before Christmas. There is a couple trucks that have homemade bodylifts somewhere around here I think.

It is possible and has been done. You will not like the look unless you install some nerf bars on it as well or you will see way too much frame. There are a few problems that you will run into and if you have a creative imagination and a welder and cutting torch, should be nothing you can not work around. I can not give you specifics but I think you will find these out as you try the install... Good luck and TAKE YOUR TIME!!!!!!

I just bought a 2004 and when I went to the dealer after market shop to ask about lifts he said that my truck came stock with a 2" body lift? The frame shows and looks bad. Is it true that some of the K2500HD come with the body lift?

I don't think so. Everyone's frame shows. If you don't have step bars, it looks worse.

It's my understanding that all 2500HD's with Allisons came with 2" body lifts to clear the trans.
