When I try to re-flash my TCM it says only commercial and workshop versions can re-program the TCM. It says I need to go to efilive.com to upgrade my flashscan cable. But when I went to their website and I didnt see anywhere to do that. Shouldnt I be able to re-flash the TCM with my V2 just the way it sits?

You should install the current software (released 11th July). It can be found http://www.forum.efilive.com/forumdisplay.php?f=67

That software contains some Allison 5 speed fixes which should fix your issue

It sounds like the software is not properly recognizing the cable. Make sure you have all the latest updates.

With all instances of EFILive software closed and everything unplugged try this procedure. Working from the ignition key to the software..............

1) Turn the ignition to the "On" position.
2) Plug into the truck.
3) Plug into the laptop.
4) Launch the EFILive tuning tool.
5) Read or Flash your tune.
6) I like to use the "Check status button" to verify communication to the V2 unit. :D

If you ever get the "dreaded bootloader rejected message" :( it could simply be a communication problem. Try shutting everything down and then follow the above procedure.

I tried to download the update, but I have really really slow connection speed.
I am hoping to get high speed soon so hopefully I can do it then.
I ended up following Guys advice and it worked perfectly!!:D


Now if I just knew what to change in there now that I can.........:rolleyes:
