I know the question came up as to which power level will yield the best fuel economy so here is the latest and greatest according to the new Edge manual. In their exact words: Note they say nothing about level 0. I think most of us were aware of this info with the exception of economy which is becoming more important by the day. Thought this might be helpfull to those with earlier operation manuals.

This section is designed to help you understand how the additional power will change your driving experience as well as help you figure out what power level will best suit your driving style.

Power Level 1 is specifically designed to maximize fuel economy improvements.

We recommend levels 1 or level 2 for towing applications. Only use level two if you are towing a light load.

Level 3 is as far as you should go on a stock truck and should never be used for towing.

Levels 4 and 5 are race levels and are designed to be used with upgraded drivetrains.

That's funny.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley32.gif I have driven a couple of tanks on each level 0 to 5 and so far 5 has been the best. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley3.gif That is keeping a light foot all the time. For some reason, with the higher prices, I have more foot control.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif Now, I did do my yearly super maintinence right before I tried going to 5, which includes new fuel filters. I guess I will see if it holds.

A-Bear. I drive a stock dura on level 3 all day long and I AM NOT light on the skinny pedal to the right (ever). Still noticed a 2 mpg fuel economy improvement. ONLY when I REALLY walk on it from a dead stop do I even come close to reaching 1,300 F on the EGT. Seems to me that all a brother needs to do to live in the 4 to 5 zone is upgrade the exhaust to let the monster breathe a little better, no?
