I dyno ested a "new" pup this weekend.

We tested it back to back with a current revision Quad 215 tuner and they ran within 2hp of each other.

The Pup has better street manners and stacks with the HJAT better.

The quad would stack to HJAT 1 on the street and 3 on the dyno without burtsting.

The Pup would stack HJAT 4 on the street, didn't have enough runs to try 5 on the dyno.

The Pup just takes the stack better.

The 2hp difference was with HJAT on 0

Juice, you'll love this thing. I daily drive my dually with the new XXX Pup.

At least XXX is what I like to call it.

Yup, Philip was nice enough to program mine any way i wanted it!

So I chose 75 95 155 and XXX

550RWHP in the snow is fun, but oncoming traffic won't like the 60 MPH Powersliding truck coming at them.... no sense of humour at allhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/hihi.gif

How come you got beat at the dyno and smoked by 2 seconds on the track by one of Quad's dealers last weekend then? We know you sprayed and he sprayed, but he was in 4th and you weren't on the dyno?

Excuses?

Crawler

carterkraft,

Lets see, Jim's truck

2500 Ext Cab 4wd

Tuner, 2 stage Nitrous, Water Meth, and a fuel system.

594 RWHP

My truck

3500 Crew Cab Dually 2wd

Tuner, Small shot of nitrous, stock fuel system (no fass, no lift pump)

561 RWHP

Jim's truck runs great and I never said anything to take away from that.

My truck had no dyno time prior to the event and I put the nitrous on the night before. Jim's nitrous cleaned up his smoke, mine never cleaned (needed my second stage hookesd up)

I didn't want to get on here and start making excuses for my dyno. Sorry folks if it comes across that way.

Here's what I can say. My truck did what it did and I'm happy with it. carterkraft if you want to discuss this further then so be it. I'll be happy to discuss it.

For the record the dyno numbers stated in the prior post, were not from Jim Jone's truck nor my own. They were from an impartial person. The 2 hp difference was noted on GMCCALL's truck.

Also for the record. I never stated that I won or almost won as implied by carterkraft. I took third in an unlimited class competition.

I was Third with 561hp

Jim Jones was Second with 594hp

Jim Fulmer was 1st with 793hp

Also about GMCCALL's truck.

Running a BullyDog XXX , HJAT on 0, AFE, Stock exhaust with a flowmaster, and Suncoast stage II.

He ran low, low 8 second 1/8th mile runs- then he smoked his tranny.

Jim Jones with the above mentioned truck ran 8.0? most of the day sunday and ran one 7.9?

Is Jim's truck fast, yes, does it put up good numbers, yes. I never said otherwise.

I don't know why you feel like attacking me for posting a fact, but you did and so be it.

I don't know why you felt you had to go public with your own ignorance, but you did.

Sorry folks for putting all of you through this.

Wes

Power Pup XXX and 1000 miles.

I just put 1000 miles on the new XXX version Power Pup recently (testing the box) and I will say it is smooth and quick on the street. No surging, nice idle, and much more low end power than my hot version Edge. Of course it is supposed to have more than Edge and does, so I would not recommend the box without a well "built" tranny. I drove on level 4 for the most part, except for about 100 miles on the highway where I was on level 1. The box does have a little rattle on "race" level 4 as does my Quad 215, but the Power Pup level 1 was much better for rattle. Of course the rattle may be from stacking with Attitude (Attitude gives timing even on level 0). The box still has all the other features Bully Dog advertises.

ABOUT THE TRANNY, when using this Power Pup XXX version, you should be past a build for low to mid 450hp for saftey. Box compares to my Quad 215hp. All my testing was done with My Attitude (145hp) on 0, gives 25hp+). See Signature for other mods.
