Hello. Last week I replaced by Hydroboost unit. I am not sure if I messed something up with the brake switch while removing it, or it is not related. The only brake light that works is the 3rd brake light on top of the cab. The tail light brake lights are not working, neither are my trailer's brake lights. I double checked the connector and installation of my brake light switch, and all looks OK. Does anyone have a schematic or diagram where I could start looking? My fuses are fine. Thanks in advance.
At the brake switch, orange into the switch, white going out to the brake lamps when the brake pedal is pushed. also if replacing the switch get a new retainer!!!, they will ask you round or square...
Ok I think this is a wiring issue. There are five wires going to the back of the truck for the tail lights and trailer lights. There is a connector with four wires, and a single white wire running along with it. I think this is the brake wire, but I can not figure out where it hooks up to back there. Anyone have a diagram?? Thanks
I disconnected the 4-pin tail light to 3-pin trailer wire adapter and am running the 4-pin connector straight through just like the factory setup. I still have all rear lights functioning except brake lights. I understand there is no brake light wire, it runs off of each turn signal wire.. but they both work. I'm puzzled??
