Alright so once late last week and again tonight, in almost the exact same spot too, when im backing up brake and go toshift into Drive its drops in somewhat harsh...not rough &sudden hard, but it is noticeable...kinda almost like i backed into something??
Get it up to speed and it shifts through all the other gears no sweat, and of course trying to get it to do it again is useless..
no power mods or anything like and I just changed the spin-on ally the sunday before this past one...
ive done very minimal towing the 6,200 miles i ve had it, previous felllow said he had hauled some dirt but didnt give how often or amt...
Does this seem at all in line w/possible nsbu? its about the only thing i can think of....
Edit: truck had been sitting for close to six hrs tonight, and i believe it had st the other time as well...level ground..Edited by: Polarbear

My engaugement into the forward gears seems more firm when the trany is cold. Like been sitting overnight and its 50 out.

I just replaced my nsbu switch this week. Before it finally gave up I noticed slow up shifts and a surge from reverse to drive for quite a while. Then the shift indicator started fouling up. it would not show N or 2 etc. I could not get it in to 4-low either. Finally it would not shift in to reverse without some serious convincing. New switch and all is good for now. oh and my abs light would come on intermitantly. I have not seen that since either.<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Just some things that might help you find your problem.

edit: thank to this site i fixed my problem and saved $100 on the switch. this site is awesome.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley32.gifEdited by: Gray Gmax
