My salesman called to tell me that my truck won't be built until January 3rd if I go with the sunroof. The build date will be earlier if I delete that so I'll be saving $946. and won't have any light from above when I drive. This was the one option that I was flexible with so I don't mine. The truck has to be built before December 31st or I won't accept the order. I want the tax write-off this year :)

I wonder if that applies to Silverado's too?

I told them I didn't care when I got it as long as it was before the yearly Daytona ROADTRIP in Feb. 05

When I ordered my new truck. The fleet salesman says them doing a aftermarket is better and nicer. I haven't yet seen what a factory one looks like. But, he says it opens all the way. And when you turn the ignition off it automatically closes.

I thought to get the tax write off, the vehicle has to be purchased on or before 31 December 2004? If it has not been delivered yet then no tax write off. I'dlook into it. I am pretty sure of this.

I'm pretty sure you're right, you have to actually take delivery before 1-1-05 for the tax break. You might want to rethink.

Sorry I didnt read his other post, he took delivery already. But if anyone is thinking about this you have 2 days left.

I believe the tax law is vehicle weight 6500 pounds and over and it must be used for your business 100%. So no buying the truck and using it every once in a while to tow somthing business related. Of course you can do what you want but the IRS has said they will be checking into this.
