Looks like I have an oil line leaking and putting a nice coating under
the truck, not happy at 811 miles to have this but guess it does
happen. The truck is nothing short of awsome, guess that part was
made or installed monday or friday as they say :( Service
consultant was telling me how I got the nicest truck on the lot when I
bought it, find that funny because they treated me like I brought in a
used cavilier this morning at the service entrance asking me do I have
a way to get home, sure do it's that brand new truck with 811 miles on
it sitting right there http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley7.gif I
hate dealers and they can't tell me when the part will come in either.
Think my folks had the same thing on there 04.

That's what they said, looked to me that it was the front diff leaking
because I coudn't see anthing above it, course with the skid plate and
everything else it was hard to tell. I gathered it is a hose of some
kind and they said it needs to sit for 8 hrs when they install it for
it to seal so not sure at this point. I have a hard time trusting
other people working on my stuff but at 811 miles dealer is about the
only option. I see nothing around the filter, cannot see anything
on the block, only assume there is an oil line that goes to the oil
cooler in the stack (is there an oil cooler in the stack?). I did
drive it home because it wasn't going to sit in the back lot for 4 days
waiting for a part, they did say make sure you keep an eye on the oil
level so from that it is engine oil??

The Oil cooler uses engine coolant - no external hoses. The cooler assy is part of the oil filter adapter on the lower drivers side of the engine. There is also a crankcase vent tube on the opposite side of the engine that will vent a little oil mist.

Guess I'm not sure what they are replacing now, whatever it is they said it must sit for 8hrs and is oil related http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley5.gif
