hi i just recently got a 95 suburban and im looking to upgrade the stock speakers, including the back 4x10"s (might not put in the same size but i still want speakers in the same location.) im not trying to make a top of the line system, just one that can take more volume than the stock system and not blow a speaker.

anyways, how are those hooked up to the system? since the truck already also has 4 6.5" speakers in the doors i was told by a couple local electronic stores i will have to amplify the back speakers. wouldnt gm have provisioned for this already? just want to know if i can use the preexisting wiring or will i have to rewire or add a amp for some obscure reason? it doesnt make sense to me that i would have to becuase the 6 speaker set up is stock, im just upgrading them, are the sales guys just trying to sell me more stuff? or is there truth to what they are saying? oh and i have a 200w pioneer deck.

Mine had a small amplifier under the driver seat for the rear speakers, it had the UQ3 option though, which might make a difference.
