I have a reg cab 2500HD with a plow prep and a 4800# fawr. My t bars are…..<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><O:P></O:P>
15528965-LH (code GL) (Max torque 8782)
15528966-RH (code GL) (Max torque 8782) <BR style="mso-special-character: line-break"><BR style="mso-special-character: line-break"><O:P></O:P>
There is a heavier set of T bars listed as……
15732338-LH (code XG) (Max torque 9054)
15732339-RH (code XG) (Max torque 9054)<O:P></O:P>
<O:P></O:P>

First will they fit? What are they normally on? Will it make my truck ride like crap? Most importantly, will I be able to crank my front end down all the way and do you guys think they will hurt my 60’s at all. Last question is proably the deciding factor http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif<O:P></O:P>
<O:P></O:P>

This is mostly coming from a disscusion here http://www.plowsite.com/showthread.php?t=18468&amp;page=2 <O:P></O:P>
Just thinking about swaping my bars out since bigger is always better right?http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/hihi.gif<O:P></O:P>
<O:P></O:P>

On a side note……any friendly GM manhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif want to pm me with a cost of a pair of the heavy weight bars?

And here I thought that a 4800# fawr got the same bars regardless of cab config motor config snowplow prep ecthttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley5.gif

Any other thoughts or oppinions welcome.Edited by: ratlover

Oh, and if any body knows what bars go with what and or want to crawl under your truck and post what bars you have that would be cool too. There is a list of all the bars part #'s over on the plowsite post.....

I would think the heavier bars would be from a longer truck...more weight on the axles. I don't think it would hurt you in any way, once you turn them down, they might sit a little higher, but I doubt very much at all. The torsion bars are designed to be strong with the resistance put on them, not just laying there...(ya know those middle school days..potential and kinetic energy)...you would probably get more lift when cranked though, being on a lighter truck.

Thanks.

I would still think a certian rated front end would all have the same bars. Since bars are the limiting to the axel.....unless 4800# is the max they will rate the IFS for?
