Anybody mess with a tune that may reduce horsepower but gain miles per gallon significantly? I own an '06 LBZ and am less than satisfied with the fuel mileage. I would be willing to give up 40 or 50 HP to get 3 to 4 more MPG empty and towing.
I have gained limited miles per gallon with my Predator and there are report of a couple MPG gains with custom tunes, but I don't want to do tranny upgrades, etc.

I don't have EFI live yet. I would buy it if someone could give me a tune that would work. This truck is used for my business and I don't need the HP. My bro's 2001 and my neighbor LLY get significantly better MPG and I'd like to see it too.
Strange, but true, I think it would be a big selling point for GM to offer the trucks with a tune "switch" of economy and performance right on the dash.

i would look in to having some one in your area that has EFILive and have them load a tune in your truck! just adding a little timing helped a lot on my lb7 and it looks like the LBZ stock timing tables are not optimized for economy at all crazy environmentalists!!

Seems most of the gains in MPG dont realy hurt performance and may help it a bit even :D A lil timming added while cruising seems to help a bit. That and a lil less boost at cruise.
